Inspired by our favourite show The Great British Sewing Bee, we’ve made a bumblebee rucksack and clasp purse sewing pattern. Suitable for beginner sewers looking to learn the basics of bagmaking, our backpack sewing pattern is topped with floaty wings that flap with each step, while the purse is the ideal size for pocket money and can be discretely attached to the front with a metal ring. Judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young are sure to give top scores for this sewing pattern!

SewHQ (the publishers) are not responsible for any safety issues arising from any items created from projects purchased and/or downloaded from SewHQ. Toys and decorations with small parts are not suitable for children under three years of age. If making a toy or decoration for a very young child, omit any buttons, beads, cords or embellishments and embroider the details instead. Always use toy stuffing that’s been safety approved; this is even more important when making for babies. Look out for the CE mark on the packaging, which shows that the filling has been officially approved for safe use. Always ensure that all pieces are sewn on securely and check makes regularly for damage or loose parts. Babies should be supervised when playing with toys.
